Our current backlog of ongoing projects includes a diverse assortment of both large and small construction work.

Our backlog of work for 2007 is predominately public works projects, with a portion of work in small developments, and servicing our local builders with homesite excavation and site utilites.

Below are summaries and photos of some of our recent projects from 2006.

(McMinnville Public School District)

Sue Buel Elementary

This latest addition to the school district infrastructure is an elementary school on Booth Bend Road (corner of Davis St), adjacent to the SE corner of the Linfield College campus. Our work falls under bid package #1 for site development and utilities.

Public Safety Building
(City of McMinnville)

McMinnville Public Safety Building

A new police station in downtown McMinnville -- at the intersection of Adams & 2nd -- in a prime locale and part of the downtown renewal plan. We are performing all site development from the ground up, including footing and sloped excavation, engineered fill, rock pads, and grading. Utilities will tie in particularly on the east end of the project, with directional drilling under Adams St.

General Contractor: Howard S. Wright.
City occupancy is slated for July 2008.

Yamhill & Western Streets Waterline & Steet Improvements
(City of Sheridan)

Sheridan Yamhill/Western WL

Two schedules. Schedule A: 1,300 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter PVC waterline in Yamhill Street (between Western and Viola Streets) and Western Street, street improvements on Yamhill Street. Waterline work includes installing owner-supplied PVC C900 waterline pipe with all fittings, valves, hydrants and services. Street improvements include new curb and gutter, storm drainage and new AC paving. Schedule B: 300 feet of 12-inch diameter PVC waterline on Yamhill Street. The work includes installing owner-supplied PVC C900 waterline pipe with all fittings, valves, hydrants and services and surface restoration.
Project commenced in late September 2007.

(City of Salem)

Salem Hazel St. (et al) Waterline

A total of 3,036 lineal feet of 8-inch and 142 lineal feet of 4-inch ductile iron pipe with water services, pavement restoration, and appurtenant work. This project spans from Academy Street north of Pine Street, from Hazel Street and services 65 homes.

Completed September 2007.

Center NE St Waterline
(City of Salem)

Salem Center St NE Waterline

Installation of 725 lineal feet of 12-inch and 37 lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron water pipe, 12 water services, and associated appurtenances on Center St in Salem between 14th & 17th streets. Limited construction zone space necessitated creative strategizing.

Completed August 2007.

D-Street Basin #6 Sewer & Water
(City of Salem)

Salem D-Street Basin #6 Sewer & Water

The project in the Market Street neighborhood between 14th & 17th streets consists of three schedules. Schedule A consists of sanitary sewer replacement of approximately 2,580 lineal feet of 8-inch, 710 lineal feet of 6-inch, and 2,740 lineal feet of 4-inch PVC, manholes, service connections, and asphalt trench and street overlays. Schedule B consists of water line replacement of approximately 1,740 lineal feet of 12-inch and 280 lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe, valves, and service reconnections. Schedules C consists of storm drain work in Barrick Field with catch basins and concrete removal and replacement.

Completed September 2007.

Salem Airport South Phase 1.2 - Franchise Utilities
(City of Salem)

Salem Airport Franchise Utilities

Installation of approximately 2,100 linear feet of joint utility trench, vaults, and miscellaneous appurtenances along Airway Drive (25th St SE) in southeast Salem. Special considerations given to traffic and special concerns of the Airport.

Completed June 2007.

Crocker Lane WL

This project includes approximately 2,860 feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main line, approximately 135 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main line, and 23 water services.

(City of Albany)

Albany Erin Crest / Sunny Lane WL

This project includes approximately 500 feet of eight-inch ductile iron water main line, 450 feet of four-inch ductile iron water main line, and eight service assemblies on Erin Crest and approximately 1,250 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main line and nine service assemblies on Sunny Lane.

Completed May 2007.

Forest Glen Subdivision

Forest Glen

As one of the few undeveloped plots of land in the McMinnville city limits, this westside subdivision will be a 44-lot gated community of custom-designed and -built homes on Fleishhauer Lane.

Ground-breaking began late August 2006, with completion in late Spring 2007.

Norwegian Wood Subdivision

This 7-lot subdivision in McMinnville is in a prime westside locale for future custom homes. Ground-breaking began late Summer 2006, with completion in the Winter. It is located north of Baker Creek Road, at the end of Crestbrook.

Ash Street Acres

Ash Street Acres

Tucked away off Ash Street in Dayton, this subdivision of a dozen homesites is being developed to be built on by Ashley Construction. Started in late Summer 2006, this project was expedited for Fall completion.

Sidewalk Improvement Project

City of Carlton Sidewalk Improvement Project

Started in early June '06, this public works projects aims at restoring downtown Carlton. All the sidewalk along Main St (Hwy 47) is being removed and replaced on both the north and south sides, as well as the services (sewer, storm, water) underneath the existing sidewalk. A specially-designed lighting system with lit bollards and light poles will beautify the streetscape.

This project has been needed for some time now, and has been in the works for nearly three years. ODOT recently funded a roadway repair change order, added to the project to both beautify downtown Carlton and also repair highway 47 as it runs through town. Expected completion date: early Fall '06.

A 12-lot subdivision extending Debbie St. in the southeast side of McMinnville. This project, being performed under the auspices of Habitat for Humanity, has a little of everything.

When the City of McMinnville has a leaky sewer main or must recommend a contractor to repair an outdated residential sewer lateral, we're on their short list. Our proven track record gives homeowners confidence that the job will be done right.

Michelbook Meadows & Park Meadows Third Addition

Michelbook Meadows

A residential subdivision on the west side of McMinnville. A prime locale adjacent to Michelbook Golf Course, with 94 lots for future home building. This project is currently being developed with a proposed completion date in late Summer '06.

Winco Helicopter Pad

Winco Helicopter Pad

A new helicopter pad and auxiliary building are being constructed at the Aurora State Airport by general contractor ESI. We performed the excavation and grading for the building, helipad and roadway, in additional to installing a specialized storm drainage system with 18" CMP with trench drains in lieu of retention ponds. Project completion estimated Spring 2006.

Linfield College Music Building

Linfield College Music Building

Now occupied in time for Fall semester, Linfield´s new 32,000 SF music building (The Vivian A. Bull Center for Music) budgeted at $4.8 million is the final element in an arts quadrangle on the Keck Campus. We performed site work including excavation for the building foundation, graded for the poured floor slab, installed new storm drainage, and excavated for power and data services, domestic water, and fire services. This project completed at the end of Summer 2006.

Linfield College Student Housing

Linfield College Student Housing

Two new residence halls are being built on Linfield´s campus (Elkinton Hall and Terrel Hall). We performed the site demolition and clearing, underground utilities (sanitary sewer, storm drainage, domestic water, fire line, trenching for electrical conduit, steam, building excavation and pad pred, and curb-and-gutter and sidewalk. Project completion estimated Fall 2006 in time for classes to begin.
